NBSC CONDUCTS FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING FOR BAMBOO PROCESSING PROJECT
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) further strengthened its community engagement efforts through a financial literacy training held on December 5, 2025, at the Flowing Grain Learning Center in Purok 4, Batingtingan, Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The activity forms part of the ongoing project titled “Utilization of DOST-FPRDI Technology in the Establishment of Engineered Bamboo Processing Facility in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon-D1.”
The session gathered members of the Natural Green Association, with facilitators Mr. Julius S. Gabinete and Ms. Niñan Grace L. Paña providing practical guidance on managing resources, planning expenses, and understanding the financial considerations essential for sustaining community-based enterprises.
Throughout the training, participants engaged in scenario-based exercises that highlighted the connection between sound financial decisions and the sustainability of community-driven projects. The facilitators underscored the usefulness of having a basic grasp of financial considerations alongside whatever skills they already apply in their work.
Through this training, NBSC’s guidance contributes to strengthening the practical understanding needed for initiatives such as the bamboo-processing project. By equipping participants with financial literacy skills, the institution reinforces its commitment to promoting inclusive development and supporting grassroots initiatives that contribute to the municipality’s socio-economic growth.
